5 Ways to Support Objective Zero
One of the questions our team most frequently is asked is “what can I do to support Objective Zero?”
There are a variety of ways that we believe anyone can support our organization. As a nonprofit, we are always looking for volunteers to share their time and talents with us as well as financial contributions to better support the military and veteran community!
1. Champion
Be an Ambassador for Objective Zero and share us as a resource to the service members, veterans, families, and caregivers in your community that could benefit from peer support and wellness resources. You can also share us as a volunteer opportunity for those looking to give support!
There are opportunities for volunteer State and Regional Directors across the United States! Share Objective Zero at events- we’ll provide the materials so we can spread awareness of our app as a resource! 2. Connect
Become a peer support Pathfinder and take the texts and calls from our community members in need of a listening ear.
Connect us to people in your network that are looking for ways to combat suicide within the military and veteran community. We’ve worked with individuals, organizations, and companies to support each other’s efforts and ideas!
3. Contribute
Are you looking for ways to get involved in Objective Zero outside of providing support in the app? Share your time and talents with us! We’re always looking for volunteers with experience in everything from mental health and technology to marketing and social media (and anything in between!)
Like any nonprofit, donations and contributions keep us running everyday and keeps the app free to download and use for our community members. You can donate through our website or Paypal. Also check to see if your company does matching donations, so your contribution is doubled!
4. Unique Opportunities
Looking for an easy way to contribute? Everytime you shop on Amazon, a small percentage of your purchase will be donated to Objective Zero! You can support the Objective Zero Foundation by shopping on Amazon Smile through the Amazon Shopping app! Follow these 3 steps to get set up:
If you are not already an AmazonSmile member, sign up on your web browser and select Objective Zero Foundation as your charity of choice.
Download the Amazon Shopping App right to your phone (available on both Android and iPhone)
Open the app, tap ’Settings’ in the main menu, click on ‘AmazonSmile’ and follow the on-screen instructions.
Are you a policy holder of Lemonade Insurance?
With Lemonade’s Giveback program, policyholders can choose to donate unclaimed funds to Objective Zero. Last year, Lemonade and their policyholders donated over $36,000 to support our organization!
5. Share your Story
One thing we learned is how powerful stories are, learning more about what our service members and veterans have gone through and what they’ve overcome! Share your experiences during service, the transition out of the military, and how Objective Zero has supported you! By sharing these stories, you give others hope!
